Athlete’s Perspective: Enshan’s Challenges

Reflecting on the season, Enshan shared: “Since the beginning of international tournament in May, I’ve achieved my personal best at this event, though I’ve also struggled at times with inconsistency. Competing alongside top international players has always been encouraging, and I’ve remained confident in my swing, believing I'm on the right path toward my goals. However, my biggest challenge during this tournament was managing my physical condition and endurance. For a professional athlete, maintaining good fitness and stamina is the foundation of consistent performance.”

Enshan’s Take: Reviewing and Improving the Season

Discussing the difficulties faced and his responses, Enshan added: “One of the toughest aspects of this tournament was the heat and course terrain. The average temperature was around 35°C throughout the week, with each round lasting nearly five hours, requiring constant hydration and energy management. With elevation differences of up to 30 metres on certain tees, the highly undulating course made it vital to judge how these changes affect ball flight and landing, making shot height and landing control critical on every stroke.

Although my results fluctuated, I will continue to rely on scientific training and post-match analysis to refine my rhythm and consistency in upcoming events, striving for stronger performances both for myself and for my sponsor, KCM Trade.”
